A House he built for me

One early evening, my son took out a cake server from the kitchen drawer.

And he made it as if it was a cement shovel. He hit the walls made a noisy sound around the house.

I asked him, what he is doing. He said , He is building a house.

I asked him, is it big? He said, it is a big house.

I told him, I want a swimming pool too.

He didn’t say anything.

He kept banging the walls with the cake server which he pretended it was a cement shovel.

Then on, he start hitting the floors, and since the cake server made of metal, we all can’t stand of the noise it made. I asked him to stop. He kept doing it.

Good thing, his father was not around.

Strange…normally, I would get upset and yelled at him. The more he didn’t listen the more I yelled at him. But I didn’t.

After 10 minutes, he stopped.

And came to me saying “Mom, the swimming pool is done”

I thanked him.

And for a second, I really glad inside, I didn’t choose to smack him because of the noise. Because…in his imagination. He built the house….., for me.

Either setting up priorities for self, finance, the kids, even relationship.

Ignorance of priorities will make things go stale and useless.

Sometimes life is fair.

When we don’t want somebody to be in our world

Somehow, the other doesn’t want us to be in their world also

But life moves on, who could change that

People will find their own remedies

it’s the heart they have to guard it well

don’t be bitter - keep the hopes

don’t be dark - hold on to the light

don’t be negative - coz we can’t live in one side only
